On the last Friday before the break, we were treated to an incredibly inspiring day at our school! 🌟

We had the pleasure of hosting Michelle Green, a seasoned Structural Engineer, who shared her incredible journey with our Year 7 students. From wind turbines to power stations, she walked us through her fascinating projects and talked about her 25-year-long career in Civil Engineering.

Michelle didn't just stop there! She also swung by a Year 9 class to discuss various engineering career paths, sparking curiosity and excitement among our students. But the highlight? A hands-on challenge where she tasked our pupils to build the strongest bridge using only tape, paper, and straws!

With hints and encouragement along the way, Michelle's expertise shone through as she guided our students, drawing parallels to real-world engineering principles. The result? Nearly all the bridges held up against the weight test, leaving us all in awe.

Not only did Michelle impress us with her skills, but she also left a lasting impression on our pupils, inspiring them to pursue their passions in engineering. From sharing insights on interests to outlining the path to becoming an engineer, she truly opened doors to a world of possibilities.

Thank you, Michelle Green, for an unforgettable expe#engineeringinspirationn#stemeducationM#FutureEngineerseEn#wecanwewillwedowewillwedo
