And that’s not all. It’s also celebrating a record number of students achieving Level 4 and 5 in English and Maths combined, and more students than ever gaining 5 standard passes (4 and above) and 5 strong passes (5 and above).

Principal, Ms Rachael Sandham, hailed the results an “incredible achievement”, and revealed they marked a fifth year of seeing “consistent improvements” at GCSE for Cannock Chase school.

Notable student successes include Sophie Faulkner 9 Grade 9s and 1 grade 8; Ifetayo Nifemi 4 Grade 9s, 2 x 8s 1 x grade 7 2 x distinctions and a merit; Jack Holyhead 3 x 9s, 2 x 8s, 1 x 7, 2 x 6s, 1 x 5 and a distinction star; Ethan Gee 1 x 9, 4 x 8s, 3 x 7s, 1 x 6 and a distinction; Sebastian Brotherton 3 x grade 9s, a grade 8, 2 x grade 7s, a grade 6, 2 x distinctions and a merit; and Robert Mihaescu 5 x grade 8s, 3 x 7s, 2 distinctions.
