You wanted clearer information about your child's progress before the booking system for parents’ evening opens, so that appointments could be prioritised effectively.

We Did...

From this academic year, student reports will be published on Pupil Progress before the parents' evening booking system opens where possible.

This means that parents and carers will have the opportunity to review their child's report in advance and make informed decisions about which subject teachers they would most like to meet with at parents' evening. We hope this will enable parents to make the best use of the available appointment times and focus discussions where they are most needed.

Not all families find attending parents' evening in person convenient.

We Did...

If you would prefer a telephone conversation rather than an appointment at parents' evening, you can request a phone call directly through the relevant subject teacher.

Our staff will work with families wherever possible to ensure important discussions about student progress can take place in a way that is accessible and convenient.

You would like flexibility in how reports are accessed.

We Did...

Reports will continue to be available electronically through Pupil Progress, but we recognise that some families may prefer a paper copy. If you would like a printed copy of your child's report, please contact Mrs Payton

You wanted greater clarity about the Key Stage Three Pathways system and how progress is reported.

We Did...

We will continue to use our KS3 Pathways system, which was introduced to provide a clearer and more meaningful way of tracking progress through Key Stage 3. Students are assessed against pathways ranging from Bronze to Diamond, helping them understand their current performance and next steps for improvement. This system was introduced to make progress tracking more transparent and easier to understand for students and families.
